December 12, 2011- Five people from Bakersfield were hurt Monday, east of McKittrick, at about 6:30 AM.
Luis Mooney, was driving west on Reserve Road at a high speed and slammed head-on into another vehicle, driven by Brent Pierson, after Mooney's vehicle had crossed the center line.
Mooney was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield.
Pierson and three passengers in the other vehicle were also injured and taken by ambulance to Kern Medical.
