Big Rig and Car Collision near Delano on Pond Road

Visalia Nursing Home Attorney John Rozier has the following accident report; On Saturday, July 26, 2014, a big rig collision killed two people, and left two hurt.  The Kern County accident took place southeast of Delano, at about 10:55 AM.

Emmanuel Alfaro, of McFarland, and Veronica Alfaro, of Bakersfield, were traveling east on Pond Road, in a 2006 Honda Accord.  At the same time a 2013 Ford Flatbed semi truck carrying a crane, was headed southbound on Driver Road.  The big rig, driven by Fernando Felix, of Delano, did not have a stop sign at the intersection of Pond and Driver.

Both vehicle were traveling at an unknown rate of speed, when the Honda came to the intersection and did not stop at the posted stop sign.  The tractor-trailer smashed into Alfaro's car.

The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to rollover.  Emmanuel and Veronica Alfaro were ejected from the Accord.  They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Felix, and his passenger Billy Crumm, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Delano Regional Hospital.
