Teenager Killed in Car Collision on Road 196 near Porterville

Visalia Elderly Maltreatment Lawyer John Rozier has the following update: On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, a teenaged boy was killed in an automobile collision.  The car accident occurred in Tulare County, near Porterville, at about 5:25 PM.

The 15 year old victim, was driving a 1996 Toyota, traveling at a high rate of speed on Road 196.  The Toyota attempted to pass a sedan as it drove north, south of Avenue 192.  The vehicle lost control, swerved off and then back on the road, and then was hit by a 1998 Mitsubishi.

The Mitsubishi was driven by a 27 year old Porterville man, and was southbound on Road 196.

It is reported that the occupants of the 4 door sedan, possibly a Pontiac, took the driver of the Toyota, after the collision, and dropped him off at Sierra View District Hospital, in Porterville.  The teenager later died at the hospital.  Authorities are looking to identify the three Hispanic males that were in the sedan.

The driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured in the crash.
