Two Big Rigs Crash on Interstate 5 in Kern County, near the Grapevine

September 10, 2014- A semi truck collision shuts down some of the freeway on I-5, near the Grapevine.  The big rig accident happened in Kern County, on Wednesday afternoon.

It is reported that one of the tractor-trailer's drivers was traveling too fast on southbound Interstate 5.  The driver smashed into the back of another semi truck as they were headed down the highway.

The driver of the big rig that hit the back of the other rig, suffered moderate injuries and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.  The other truck's driver was reported to not have been injured.

A couple of I-5's lanes were closed while the CHP investigated the incident, and the wreckage was cleared.
