Update: Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on Highway 178 in Kern County

September 8, 2014- The motorcyclist that was seriously injured in the accident that took place on Monday, in Bakersfield, has now died from his wounds.  The vehicle collision happened on Highway 178, at about 12:45 AM.

The biker has been identified by the Kern County coroner's office, as Tim Dooley, 52 years old, a resident of Fresno.

The motorcycle crash occurred on the freeway, near Morning Drive.  Officer's reported that Dooley's bike was hit by a car.

Dooley was taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield, where he later died from his injuries.
