Automobile Collision in Strathmore Injures Six People on Highway 65

October 1, 2014- A two-vehicle collision in Tulare County, injures six people, on a Highway 65 intersection.  The automobile accident occurred early Wednesday, in Strathmore.

A 24 year old female driver, of Porterville, was driving a Honda Accord at the intersection of Highway 65 and Avenue 196.  A 59 year old male driver, of a Ford Escape SUV, was reported to have made a left turn right in front of the Honda.  The two vehicles collided.

The jaws of life were used to extricate the driver from the Accord.  She suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Three passengers in the Honda were also injured; one female, and two males.  Their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.  The female was taken to Sierra View Medical Center, and one of the males was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.  The third passenger refused treatment.

The driver of the SUV, who was from Hanford, and his 55 year old male passenger, both refused medical aide.
