Fatal Car Collision on Friant Road Caused by Drunk Driver in Fresno

San Joaquin Valley Automobile Accident Lawyer John Rozier has the subsequent update; On Saturday, February 21, 2015, a drunk driver caused a collision that led to two fatalities.  The vehicle crash happened in northeast Fresno, at about 9:20 PM.

Hector Castillo-Pichardo, 23. was driving while intoxicated in a silver pickup truck.  He was traveling northbound on Friant Road, when he ran a red light at Copper River Drive.  The pickup smashed into a white Acura SUV, driven by Molly Griffin, 23.

Molly Griffin, with her passenger, Emily Krieghoff, had been in the process of making a left-hand turn on a green light, when the truck hit the Sport Utility Vehicle.

Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Krieghoff suffered serious injuries, which included a lacerated aorta, and a fractured hip.  She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where she is recovering.

A passenger in the pickup truck, Oscar Felix, sustained major injuries and died at the hospital.

Castillo-Pichardo received minor injuries.  He was arrested and charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
