February 17, 2015- A crane truck collision ends in fatality west of Bakersfield at Highway 58.  The Kern County vehicle accident happened in Buttonwillow, on Tuesday, at about 7:15 AM.

The pickup truck crashed into a freight-liner crane, driven by a 21 year old Bakersfield man.  The impact of the collision sent both the truck and the big rig into concrete walls and a power pole.  They finally came to rest in a homeowner's yard.

Gilliard, and her passenger, 41 year old Joshua Shane Shepherd, were both partially ejected from the pickup.  They were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The crane operator was not injured in the incident.
