Kern County Big Rig Accident on Highway 58, in Bakersfield

On Friday, February 6, 2015, a semi truck accident slowed traffic in Bakersfield.  The tractor-trailer collision occurred on Highway 58 East, at approximately 7:30 AM.

A big rig was jackknifed across all eastbound lanes of the freeway, blocking the flow of traffic, at the Mount Vernon Avenue exit.  The wreck stopped cars all the way to Highway 99.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
