February 17, 2015- A semi truck collision takes the lives of two people on Tuesday, in Kern County.  The Buttonwillow vehicle accident happened on Highway 58 and Palomas Road, at approximately 7:15 AM.

Carrie Rae Gilliard was driving a pickup truck north on Palomas Road, with her passenger Joshua Shane Shepherd.  The truck ran a stop sign at Highway 58 and smashed into a freightliner crane.  The impact sent both vehicles careening into concrete walls, and a power pole, before coming to rest in a homeowner's front yard.
