Train and Tanker Truck Collide in Oildale, at Norris Road and Manor Street

Tuesday, March 24, 2015, a train crashed into an oil tanker truck in Kern County.  The early morning big rig collision, occurred just after 12:00 AM, in Oildale, near a refinery.

The semi truck hauling an empty oil tanker was driving north on an access road, just east of Manor Street.  As the big rig drove across the railroad tracks, near the intersection of Norris Road, a train began to back up and smashed into the oil tanker as it crossed the tracks.
