U.S. Mail Truck Collision in Porterville, California, Kills Young Child, on Delta Street

On Friday, April 3, 2015, a toddler was hit and killed by a U.S. Postal Service truck.  The Tulare County vehicle accident  occurred in Porterville, at about 1:30 PM.

A mail truck was delivering mail in the area of Delta Street and Aurora Avenue.  The Postal truck hit 18 month old, T.J. Trevino, while it was driving at an extremely slow speed, after pulling away from a home on Delta Street, according to Porterville police.

T.J. was reported to have run out into the street from the front yard of the residence where he was playing with his older brother, father; Guillermo Trevino, and his mother.

The little boy was rushed to Sierra View Medical Center, with major injuries.  He later died in the hospital.

Authorities continue to investigate this collision.
