Rain Causes Big Rig Accident on Highway 99, in Bakersfield

May 22,2015- A big rig accident occurred in Kern County, on Friday morning.  The semi truck collision happened in Bakersfield, on Highway 99 interchange.  Rain was reported to have played a factor in the crash.

The big rig driver lost control of his vehicle on the southbound Highway 99 interchange to eastbound Highway 58.  The tractor-trailer crashed into the side of the overpass, and part of the vehicle was hanging off the edge.  Some of the concrete was reported to have knocked off onto the freeway below.

The driver was not seriously injured.  Authorities said this accident was one of many, because of the wet roads.
