Automobile Collision Injures Teen Driver in Bakersfield, on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard

On Wednesday, June 3, 2015, a vehicle accident led to serious injuries for one teen driver, in Bakersfield.  The Kern County car collision occurred on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at approximately 6:30 AM.

The 17 year old, was reported to have been leaving the driveway of an apartment complex, in a blue Honda vehicle.  The sedan pulled out from the east side of the street, right into the path of a white Toyota Camry.

The Toyota was driven by a 75 year old man, and was traveling north on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.  The two automobiles collided, as the Honda drove into the roadway.

The teenager suffered major injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield.  The Camry's driver also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
